We hope that all of you are safe and well. Many are in isolation because of their age or health and that can get lonely. Browsing the internet for patterns and yarn can be a great way to pass the time.
One of the brands we carry is Berroco. They offer quality yarns that our customers love and have great pattern support for their yarns. Here is this week’s free pattern. They have a great newsletter and we would love to hear from you about what yarns and patterns you are interested in. Although we do not carry summer silk, it is knit in a DK weight and we have many great DK weight yarns.

Yarns we carry from Berroco:
Ultra Wool DK & Chunky
Vintage DK, Vintage Worsted and Vintage Chunky
Browse through the Berroco website, download some of their free patterns and if there is a yarn you would like us to carry, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know. We’ll consider it when we do our ordering for the fall.
We’re thinking of you during this time!
Based on government and health authority information and recommendations, we feel the time has come for us to temporarily close the shop and the Tuesday night drop-in.
There has been much thought and prayer over this. We believe it is the right decision for our customers, our community and our volunteers.
We are in unprecedented times, so the time for re-opening cannot be accurately determined at this time. How the virus moves through BC will determine what is allowed and how the shop can respond. We will do our best to communicate with you regularly as things unfold.
We are looking into options for yarn emergencies and will post again if we have a way to do orders over the phone. Stay tuned.
Thank you so much for your patronage and support for our little shop. We appreciate you all very much.
In the meantime, we have yarn and needles and can mindfully knit the hours away while we are isolating at home.
Now is the time to keep in touch with our loved ones. Some of us are in isolation because of our physical health and are in the high risk category for serious illness with this virus. Keep all those affected this way in your thoughts and prayers.

We’re doing our part to keep our community safe
With the rapid spread of COVID-19 around the world, people are concerned about going out and coming in contact with the virus. We want to assure our customers we are doing what we can to keep the store clean and ready should you want to come in.
- We are sanitizing the door and other surfaces frequently
- We are wiping down the debit machine
- We are keeping hand sanitizer by the check out for your convenience.
If you are experiencing any symptoms we kindly ask that you stay home. If you are well and you wish to limit your time in the shop, feel free to call ahead and ask if we have what you’re looking for. We will hold it aside for you for when you come into the shop, making your stop here shorter.
We will continue to be open our regular hours, 10am to 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
Our thoughts and prayers are with our community and those whose lives have been affected by this virus. May God bless you and keep you.
