By Rainer Maria Rilke

After the summer’s yield, Lord, it is time
to let your shadow lengthen on the sundials
and in the pastures let the rough winds fly.
As for the final fruits, coax them to roundness.
Direct on them two days of warmer light
to hale them golden toward their term, and harry
the last few drops of sweetness through the wine.
It is that time of year when the colours of fall assault our senses and the cool air calls us to the comfortable and familiar. Knitting is that familiar to me and although I knit all year round there is something about fall that calls me, vocation like, to the needles and string…

and don’t forget our little bird from Sirdar’s Happy Cotton
New colours of yarns we’ve carried are always a welcome surprise to the senses. Our old favourites tempt us to think of new ways we can use them. Perhaps there is a yarn in your stash you want to use and this new colour in our little shop will do just so well.

The excitement of new yarns is something we all experience. We want to feel it, take in the colours and let our imaginations run wild with ideas of what we can create with it.

Come in an see us soon so we can take you around the shop and show you all the lovely new yarns, new colours, and great samples. Of course, I am sure we have one of the largest selection of baby yarns in the lower mainland.

Doesn’t this just make you want to make baby things… wee little booties, a cuddly blanket, or a smooshy toy baby can cuddle?
There is so much more to see so we hope we see you all soon…
